Were back here again🙂 I have 4 sets of dollies. My In The Ditch dollies have over 100k on them almost no maintenance. Collins I borrow occasionally are about 8yrs old also no problems They both have things that I like and dislike. I use dollies every single day this was not a good real life demonstration.Use dollies the way manufacturer tells you to and keep greased at proper intervals ,check air in tires they will be relatively trouble free.

Know exactly how that guy felt.My first tow truck did that.

I had a little newer model, one of the sturdiest trucks that I ever owned.

I made alot of money towing K-cars in the 80s.They were company cars and town employee cars guaranteed 5-10 tows a week.

I pick up 5 to 6 of those vans every year with the same rims .They absolutely come off without warning .I would not have believed it if it didnt happen to me.I was test driving one with a stalling problem turned into a parking lot and wheel fell right over .There was no warning,no wobble,no noise. The corrosion between the rim and rotor hoods them solid until it doesnt.I dont know if this is coincidence or not but most of them are taxis.

Who is enforcing phone law a simple phone call to agency responsible will tell you if that part of law is even enforced anymore.Here in NY we went by state law .Our town and village dont have any laws about ppi.We ended up in court because angry customer did some deep research.Turned out our county has a law that favors illegally parked cars technically it makes it almost illegal to do ppi's. Judge made us give back part of fees on a technicality.We did our own research and found out after that we were 100% in the right and didnt have to give back any money.We had 4 police cars on premises overseeing our impounds which as the law states made our impounds 100% legal.Judge didnt know law didnt care.Point being read laws carefully make phone calls to all agencies involved.Know more than they do and carry copies of ppi laws in trucks along with any paperwork from agencies if you need certain things related to laws or not.

I had that Ashton boom on my first tow truck 1966 Dodge Powerwagon 300 4x4 that thing was a beast.

The cars that I moved we trenched under the cars pushed in 4x4s the length of the cars and tied suspensions to 4x4s screwed 2x4s across 4x4s basically lifted 4x4s and sleded car to road for pickup

How far do they have to be moved to trailer.Years ago I had to move a bunch of MGs and MGBs in this condition.I have a method creating a kind of sled with 4x4s to keep them from coming apart.

Got the job done didnt do extra damage and didnt wreck your truck looks like good job to me.

2020 gave us a lickin but we're still tickin.

We have a rock a little smaller than that one here that I call my money rock.People smash into it,end up on top of it or drag it down the road.It is somehow a magic rock.No matter where I relocate it to it always ends up right back in the same spot.

Copart in NY has been paying people as individuals more for cars than I can get from shredder/recycler. Apparently cats are worth alot of money right now.
