Pretty neat car. All original, runs & drives. Some rust but not bad for a 80 year old car. I doubt that anything built today will be around in 80 years!

Dolly job for multiple reasons.. super low ride height, steering turned a little and locked, bent driver front wheel, and the value of the vehicle made it a no-brainer anyway. Bumper so low I had to roll the front up on my skates just to make clearance for the dolly axle to go under. No straps or tow lights, still on scene and needed to get my pics and get moving. Suction cups used on the windshield for the tow lights once I wiped some dust off. Richard

A previous post showed a pic of a carrier loaded with a rare Porsche. If you're that transport business specializing in exotics, how many of you use the factory eyelet to winch-on and winch-off a expensive vehicle using the eyelet? My question isn't intended to start negative banter back and forth, more so to see what tower's use to load vehicles like this Carrera 980 GT with value around $450,000. I personally don't trust a man-made, threaded loops, that can't be seen and one that's mounted behind a bumper's cover. Because I'm old school, I prefer to carry and use any number of loops, straps, axle staps and ratchets. And, when it comes to deliverin…

Here's a 98% complete F100 headed to the hot rod shop. the original flathead V-8 still runs. The owners plans include adding a late model Ford Crown Victoria front frame clip, Brembro brakes, and a fully built and supercharged 4.6L from a SVT Mustang cobra. This same customer has another 53 Ford pickup that has been done up rat rod style and has been Chevy powered. This one i am told is to be the "pretty one"

Towed this today to a restoration shop. This is the first time in 30+ years that this complete original car, right down to the original ignition key has seen day light or been touched by a human. Been stored in a climate controlled storage garage all that time.

Topic created by Motiv8td in Aug of 2013: Since you guys post up some pretty cool rides, I thought I'd throw in one of our own. A.T.R.I Med/HD # 473-2013 WM 4/5 #140048 Smith System - Driver Trainer towman33 said: That is cool as hell very nice!!! IDK if it's 4.2 cool though. Raddamant said: That's insanely cool. Not to deviate too much, just wondering if you bought special insurance for this tow? Motiv8td said: Likely. Our GM is sharp as a tack and I believe his background is insurance litigation. My management team in general is top notch which actually helps make my j…

Topic from 2007: This car is two years old and only has 49 miles on it. We towed it to the dealer for warranty work and then hauled it back to his home so the car wouldn't get any miles on it! Interstow said: Nice cars. I moved one of those last year for the car show. Fortunately I had the use of a loading dock and the transport trailer ramp to help with the load angle. Twinbulls said: That's one hot car !!! I have moved a couple of them...but not lately.... looks great on your truck !!! That's a great pic of both trucks and Porsche....

Really neat 1 owner car taken out of garage where it spent the last 15 years transported to shop to get it running. The owner bought it new in 1973! Sent from my SM-N970U using TowForce mobile app

This beauty belongs to one of my regular customers. The right rear main leaf broke in the spring pack causing the rear to shift over. This gentleman has a whole barn full of beautiful classics and antiques that would make any collector drool. And each and every one of them are driven regularly. No trailer queens to be found!!!

When dealing with Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Roll's owners, you know just how difficult and picky they can be? If your tow business serves the, "exotic and custom", niche, I'll pass to you a gimmick that I've used for years in serving these difficult personalities. Have you ever seen a chimney sweep do-their-thing in-cleaning your woodstove or fireplace chimney? The purist sweep wears an old-style (tails and top hat) uniform that oftentimes includes wearing white, parade style, formal gloves. For years, when I'd begin loading someone's expensive exotic or custom, I'd wear clean, white-gloves. I'd bounce confidently out of my carrier, walk up to the vehicl…
