We got called for this car the other rainy night, it slid off a sharp turn, down into a drainage ditch, narrowly missing the guard rail and some trees. I hooked to the back and winched it onto the rollback. The front was not smashed that bad, and all 4 wheels rolled freely, so it came out fairly nice. Sorry I don't have any more pictures, it was pouring down rain, so I tried to hook & book it as fast as possible!

Took a call from a customer last night who stated he was stuck down a long driveway after attempting to make a Door-Dash delivery. As I was taking his info over the phone, My buddy who runs the local AAA towing company called and told me the customer had originally called AAA for service and when he arrived, he found him approximately 300' from the road down a sloped, muddy camp trail. My friend didn't want to get involved with it through AAA knowing they don't pay well enough for him to return to his shop and gear up for that type of pull, so he turned the call down. He then told the customer to call me Knowing I carry enough equipm…

Owner of this pickup called to upright and tow back to his home. Called for a second truck as pickup was on a culvert and wanted to be able to pull up sideways after the upright. Went very good except I had to put chains on after taking to his home.

So, to make a long story short, I have pulled this very same postal truck (known as a long life vehicle or LLV for those who dont deal with these ) with the very same driver from this very same spot in these peoples yard 3 times now since we got slapped with the snow storm last Wednesday. This guy simply refuses to walk up to the door for some reason. It isn't a terribly long or steep driveway either.. Not to mention this guy buried this thing to the frame rails all three times as well trying to romp his own way out before I would get there. In any event, she popped out of there rather easily all 3 times. I have already informed the post master t…

Got a call from an older gentleman this morning. He stated that he thought his car had been stolen, called the local police, then discovered this! Old Lincoln had jumped out of park & rolled down into a ravine behind his home. Used 2 lines to steer it between the trees as I was unable to enter the car in th position it was in.

Was called by a local shop for a small pickup "slightly" off the road near the cul de sac on a dead end street. There was no mention of a tree, just unable to get out on his own. I wonder why? Took my carrier bed and extended it between the truck & tree, tilted the bed up & was able to winch it off the tree w/o further damage. There was suprising little damage to the truck, but not the case with the tree.

Took a call from the county dispatch tonight for a vehicle that "left the roadway and slid into a yard" on a back country road. On arrival, I found this 5 day old 2020 Audi A3 about 75' into a field, slammed into a row of pine trees. The car left the road on a sharp bend, aproximately 150' off the other way, Just missing a utility pole and another row of pines. It then spun through some open field before crashing drivers side first into the second pine row. The left front ball joint was snapped and the wheel assembly was wrapped around a tree. The rear wheel was bent inwards and the tree it hit was broken at the ground, under the car. I decided to attack from the shorter…

We caught a Honda Pilot: We received a call from the Pennsylvania State Police on 12/3/20 to respond to an accident in the area of 220 Bollinger Road, Elverson PA. We were advised of a Honda SUV 2-3 feet from the road stuck in water. We immediately dispatched one of our wreckers to the scene. Upon arrival we found the vehicle had struck a bridge causing a large amount of property damage. The vehicle ended up partially submerged in a creek below the bridge. Water was above the hood and partially flooded the interior. A large amount of debris was scattered throughout the area from th…

We got a accident call for a jeep that hit a pole. When I got there I found the pole totally snapped off, and the Jeep was perched on top of the about 1 ft section of pole that was still in the ground. The utility company was already there and they gave the ok for me to get it off. The guy there said the pole is not going to fall if I move the Jeep. So I talked with the officer on scene, and he said to get out of there if I feel comfortable doing so. So I hooked to the back, and it surprisingly popped right off of there, and the pole didn't hardly budge. I cleaned up the pieces, and was on my way.

I observed another company and a couple cops tending to a vehicle that slid off the interstate the other morning in a rural area and it left me wondering. The vehicle flew about 400' off the road and landed on its roof. It was approximately 10' below grade, not quite in a ravine but far enough down where a skid steer couldn't get out if you could even get it in. My question is how do you go about winching a casualty that far from the road? Do the heavy wreckers carry 1000' of wire rope?

Took a call from the county sheriff's dispatch This Xmas for a burned out truck on a seasonal road. It turned out to be whats left of a Mazda b2000 pickup. It was pretty deep down this steep, seasonal road not far from my house. Apparently, two other tow companies from the rotation were called for it and refused it because they couldnt get to it with a flat bed and did not want to use a wrecker to drag it out to the roadway. Knowing that road pretty well, I knew I could get down in there easily with my flat bed being 4wd. Being an older junk truck, the sheriffs office gave me permission to scrap it asap so I wont have to babysit it for months. I wont make any money on thi…

Heres some pics from a couple I did in the aftermath of the storm that blew through the east coast yesterday and today. We here got lucky it seems. Most areas here only ended up with 12"-18", A stiff north wind and high teens-low 20's temps. South of us got hammered pretty good. I am told some ares in the southern tier of Ny/Pa. got 40"+ inches...

Long story short my dad needed to get to the top of his RV's car port. Instead of using a ladder he decided to back a flatbed in there, after it rained all day. 🤦🏼♂️ He made it in fine but starting spinning on his way out. Fearing for the safety of his sprinkler lines, he wisely decided call me to winch him out.

Got this call from the county Sheriffs office this evening. Dispatch stated they had a "white sedan" in the ditch on a rural road. On arrival I was informed that not only was the car IN the ditch, but the driver apparently "ditched" the scene as well. The vehicle turned out to be this 2020 Bmw M340i with only 5,500 miles on it. The car went off the road and rode the ditch about 40' before slamming into a large rock / steel pipe culvert across a womans driveway. The impact broke the left front wheel into a dozen pieces, tore the suspension out, shattered the front bumper and carbon fiber lip and sprayed parts and large stones everywhere. The recovery was rather straight fo…

A good customer of ours called said she went off the road near her cabin. Appears the lower ball joint broke and took the fender with it. This is over 1 mile off the pavement. Tried getting to it the other day but it was so muddy we took a pause. Today I took my f150 up the trail because the ground was frozen and gingerly slid her down to the hard packed road in 4 low. Came back with the flatbed to finish the job. A couple skates and she slid right on. I jacked it up, removed the wheel, and put a block under the control arm to slide it off. There was no real way to jack it up on the soft ground to load it. Overall it went smoothly even though the wheels were cranked towa…

Got a call for a crash 4:30 this morning where a guy was traveling at a substantially higher rate then the posted 25mph...and failed to negotiate the turn... Audi A6 Supercharged....Was a nice ride...a few hours ago... Narrowly missed the home owner's Dodge pick up... And took out 4 or 5 trees as well as a bunch of landscaping... The car ended up in the middle of the cross street. We went back up in the daylight with our incident van, the dump truck & mini excavator and due to the excessive debris an additional rollback... …

Last night at 5:45 pm, just as everyone was about to leave for the holiday weekend we got a call for an overturned, loaded 3 car hauler. I was nearby in my personal car as I had left early to pickup my daughter from school. We went direct to the scene. From the look of things, the fifth wheel hitch may have broken causing the overturn but police are working to find the actual cause. I am a little curious to hear feedback on billing for this recovery. Do you out everything on one bill? Or each vin a different bill? We had two mpl40 wreckers, two flatbeds, our 896 and myself on scene. Time of call until we cleaned up the trucks and headed home was just shy…

I got called out for this one yesterday evening. This customer was going a bit too fast for the roadway and as he crested the hilltop, there was a group of trick n treaters crossing the road. Thankfully he did not hit anyone But He ended up upside down in the ditch. The driver was not injured but did receive multiple tickets for driving infractions. I was only able to get the two quick pics. We used my partners 2012 Ram / Chevron to perform the quick roll then loaded the casualty on my 2017 Ram / Jerr-dan rollback. I towed the vehicle to the customers home, Collected payment and was back home in an hour and a half.

We were called by the NJSP to respond to a single vehicle accident. When I got on scene, I found a Jeep that turned to fast for the wet roads and lost control, striking a tree with the right front wheel. Unfortunately for the home owner that lived in the corner how, the sudden loss of a wheel made the Jeep turn hard right, right through the backyard fence. It continued through the yard until it hit another tree, stopping the wild ride. I set up to pull the Jeep towards the existing home. Once it was through the gate, I repositioned to pivot it back into the road where I could load it up and tow it to the yard.

That smell of a burn job is terrible.... but getting a few cars out of the job sure made deal I. With the smell a little easier. [emoji385][emoji383][emoji385] As with my last job, I’m curious to hear how you guys are billing something like this. One bill or three separate? My plan is to put them all on one in hope that the at fault insurance will deal with all three at the same time under liability/property damage. We had a scene supervisor, our cleanup trailer, and three flatbeds. Three hours from the time of call until we were back home and cleaned up. Used a power broom, Spill tackle, 2 disposal drums full of waste. My total is around 3 G’s for the job. …

We received this call from the local state police barracks for a single vehicle crash. My dad showed up in a rollback and immediately called me for some assistance. It seems they left out the part where the car smacked a parked tractor trailer and went screaming into the woods backwards. The owner of the tractor was adamant about leaving his tractor there until his agent came and refused to let us tow it, so we had to winch the car around it. Both front control arms were ripped off in the crash so both front wheels were only hanging on by the strut, making steering the car out fun. Once out of the woods the car was loaded on the bed and brought back to our yar…

Every now and then, a real "Holly Sh_t" job comes along...and this was one. Came in Sunday am as a "car in the woods, oh and on a guide wire for a pole"... I called Eddie and he said he was going to head with a wrecker in case it was caught up in a wire... Sent me a picture when he got on scene and I just chuckled...Not what I had in my mind...LoL So I headed up with a rollback to help him with the mess... Yea it's in there...but it started a bit further back... This is where he 1st hit the guard rail and pushed it over for 40 some feet, then hit the opposite rail on the oth…

We were called by the NJSP for a single vehicle accident about 20 miles away. Knowing the area it was in I was fairly confident it was going to be in the woods. I started out to the scene in my wrecker and called one of the guys to bring a flat bed. Once I arrived I found a Chevy pick up had left the road, waffled a pole and went into the woods, hitting a tree and stopping about 40 feet off the road. Shortly after I arrived the supervisor of the phone company arrived and gave us the bad news that the crew to get the wires out of the way was over an hour away. He gave us the go ahead to work around the wires, so we went to work. I first…

Two deer came out in the road so a guy stopped his pick up truck...but the Nissan didn't! The car struck the rear of the truck with enough force to flip it on it's roof... Car had front & rear suspension damage so we put it on the rollback... Customer took this last shot, (he was stuck in the traffic) and sent it to us...

Some pics from a 2 car we did the other night. Guy in the truck started making his turn about 50' before the street and in the path of an incoming car... Decent mess to clean up but that's what we do... Always something to screw up the plans...LoL
