For the most part, maintaining rotators s the same as maintenance on conventional fixed-boom tow rucks with the exception of key features that make a rotator different. Step 1 Rotator Turntable: The junction of the boom and the tow body is a critical maintenance area. Turret mounting bolts should be tightened per the manufacturer’s recommendations using a suitable torque wrench or torque multiplier. Not only is it important to lubricate grease fittings with the correct grease at the time intervals recommended by the manufacturer, but it’s also crucial to make sure the grease is distributed evenly around the turntable’s gear. Team Bills. One of the few we did from last night but was left till morning to do recovery. Diesel fuel tanks where drained and booms and socks put down till clean up. Over a cable barrier with posts caught under trailer and tractor. Would have not be good if you winched and not seen them. High Winds, Sleet, Snow and Very Cold Temps!!
