  1. Yep, I think there is still a bed out in the lot behind the trailer. We worked that truck till it couldn't work anymore. The Rust got both the cab and chassis, not to mention the Aatac Wrecker which we patched up continuously. I have to say for what we paid for it and the negative comments some left. The truck more than paid for itself and then some on tough back road recoveries where we didn't care if it got scratched or damaged. I'd be interested if anyone still has an Aatac in use?
  2. I need to check this off my list this year. Did I see where I could bring my office manager with me? Also, where the the RBU Testimonial topic I saw awhile back?
  3. Welcome Haley, TowForce has certainly come to life this year. I even check in more often to catch up. Thanks Ron and Chris for making this place great again.
  4. Many of us have benefited for these Service Patrol Units where available. Granted we don't find ourselves in that area much. However, when we are they always seem to already be there or find us... They say they are dispatched to stranded motorists using the cameras along the roadways.
  5. I like looking at these older posts, keep digging them up the screen names bring back memories.
  6. I've had a few that were a little over the top and a couple that took their tops off.
  7. I'm thinking you made a wrong turn, we talk tow trucks here. While someone may have the answer, there are RV Boards and Groups which would be more effective. https://rvforums.com/ https://www.irv2.com/forums/ https://www.rvnetwork.com/ JUST TO NAME A FEW!!!
  8. A sentence of 1 to 10 years? Even the MAX does not fit the crime of DUI-manslaughter. A 10 year minimum is still not enough to send a message to others about driving impaired. Think about it, if the judgement is 1 year then he likely walks out that day with time served.
  9. Most of those we get either have no insurance or insurance doesn't pay. It's a party when they do and insurance wonder why the cost is what it is. If they worked these themselves and then smelled it for hours maybe they would have a change of mind. Years ago, it was load the burn out and leave the mess. That is not how it works anymore, cause it seems to we're expected to clean it up and even restore it back to the way it was prior to the damage. Fire doesn't even want to do a wash off anymore. We have to call them back. Ed, how did you handle with the foam left behind? Seems it takes much time to clear left on it's own.
  10. Condolences from across the pond... No one or country can escape these road side safety concerns.
  11. Happens far too often and likely more then we ever hear about.
  12. What happened to Worldwide on here? They used to be so active, where are they now?
  13. As there more than meets the eye here?
  14. Anyone know the condition of the Tow Operator? Was this Tow Pro out of Nashville?
  15. We still have a supply from a bulk purchase 2 years ago.
  16. We teach Winch On Winch Off, there better be a very good reason for getting on the bed. No Customer should every be allowed to assist in many of these situations.
  17. I know many of us miss Dave, does anyone know if the torch Dave Lit with Tow First is being carried. We still see a number of service only folks changing tires in dangerous areas where the speeds a 55 Plus....
  18. Welcome Devon, this is a great place to get a true feel for the towing industry without all the noise. More Information is in these forums then anyplace else on the web.
  19. Sorry to hear a Tow Truck Operator lost his life just moving vehicles to the street. What I never understand is why get into an argument in this situation. Call for a property manager who likely knows the individual or an officer to explain the situation. As the person moving the vehicle you're too close to the fire. In this case the fire of bullets... Kenny Rogers the Gambler always comes to mind. You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em Know when to walk away And know when to run You never count your money When you're sittin' at the table There'll be time enough for countin' When the dealin's done. RIP DRIVER You've Done Your Time In HELL...
  20. Grumps, hope you get back to the track soon. It's just keeps raining here.... We have not sponsored or raced a car in years. Nephew asked if I would help him put a car in the demo derby this year, he wanted to do it last year. Then Covid and no go... I got an old chevy wagon in the back I wanted to do something with. Problem it is has sat far to long and too much rot, think it'll work if we can get it running. Anyone run Demo Derby, it'll been years and I think the rules have change. Might call him in this weekend, we got till August to get it together or he has till August.
  21. "it is possible to think you are covered and not be." Going through a topic like this on Tow411 several years ago we checked with our agent. Actually had to have them actually go over it with us and we found that it needed a couple of changes which only added a few dollars. I would have thought these policies were standard or the agent would know what to look for when writing them. She said it's like having earth quake coverage on your home owner even if you are not in a region prone to them. I added that for a few dollars as well and so far no trembles. But, was told there is a fault within a 100-150 miles.
  22. Our thought's are with the both of them as they fight to recover from such a horrific accident.
  23. Good Lord!!! Is that guy still around?
