We are sad to report that we have lost one of our local tow company owners. Danny C. Fry - 75, the owner of Poor Boys Garage & Salvage of St Robert Mo passed away this morning, 2/6/2020. Danny had fought a battle with cancer for approx the last year and died peacefully in his sleep this morning. Poor Boys Garage & Salvage was the main player in the heavy wrecker business in Pulaski County for several years. Danny was also a firefighter for many many years to include being Fire Chief of Saint Robert for several of those years. A firefighters funeral and a tow truck possession are planned. Details are to…

Sammy was born on October 10, 1954 and passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019. Sammy Coleman was laid to rest Wednesday morning following a graveside service at the Morgan Chapel Cemetery in Morgantown. Coleman died at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson Saturday as a result of injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sept. 22. He was 65. Coleman was a native of Starkville and an avid motorcyclist. He worked as a tow truck driver for Cannon Ford, and among those in the procession were several wreckers from across the area. Friends and relatives of the late Mississippi tow operator Tommy McKee are focusing their efforts on strengthening enforcement and penalties for the state of Mississippi’s move over law. McKee died April 23 when he was struck by a vehicle while loading a car on his tow truck on the shoulder of I-55 near Hernando, Miss. The driver of the vehicle that hit McKee was cited for failing to move over. Another MS tow truck driver was killed this morning. We have had severe weather in the central MS area, but the cause of the accident has not been determined. Crews are still on scene. The accident happened at the I-20/ Hwy 49 N. interchange early this morning. The accident involved another vehicle, but reports indicate the other vehc. driver will recover. The truck went over the outer wall in a steep curve on a fly-over and crashed in the median below. Tow Operator Fatality TODAY Another tow operator (in Mississippi) has been struck and killed today with limited information. According to the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department, a tow truck driver was loading a car onto his wrecker when another motorist hit and killed him in the northbound lanes of I-55 near the the East Commerce Street exit. UPDATED 01-19-18: Local tow truck operator killed on the job on I-59 JASPER COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) -- A local tow truck operator was killed while on the job Wednesday afternoon in Jasper County. 48-year-old Paul "Jason" Moorehead Sr. of Meridian's Magnolia Towing was hit by another vehicle while he was towing a wrecked car out of the median of Interstate 59.
