Can't pay me enough to tow them
-
At least you know you are getting paid with a new Mercedes instead of doing all of that work for a 91 cavalier.
-
I think i only have to get near poison ivy and i get it.

Yes. fire trucks suck and are heavy. I tow some 100' aerial trucks that are 77,000 lbs and front axle is a mile back and garbage all over the frame.

What is nice about raptor controls versus a rotator with "normal controls"? I heard of raptor controls but I truly don't know how they operate.

How far will you tow a combo unit? We normally split them. So many of the dealers around us have a parking lot size of the average Mcdonalds that you would never get the whole combo in the lot. I know we can't talk price but is the traffic control 25 percent of what the tow is or 50 percent?

lookin good. Did you trade the old one or are you selling it yourself? Did you get to weigh the steer axle on the wrecker without anything on the underlift?

nice heavy, mine has a pair of 100 gallon fuel tanks, not sure i would like less then that. Kind of a pain to always run and get fuel.

Amen, we quit them in February when they made you give 10 free enroute miles and we never looked back. All of their calls were a pain in the ass. We did alot for them and nobody called us to ask us back

I was wondering also did you compare Trail King and Kaylin Seibert etc?

That is all fine and dandy but if they don't enforce it what does it matter. Have the cops come out when I am hooking up a truck and it would be like shooting fish in a barrel.

We have a 16 ton unit like that, very versatile truck

gotta get the extra gravy when you can

I quit Agero today!! We towed for Agero for 7 years and the first couple years we did quite a bit with them. The last 2 years they only call us when nobody else will go, but we do medium and heavy with them that pays decent but sometimes they short change you and you spend time chasing your money. Their stupid background checks were a joke. The final straw was the other week I received an email that they aren't paying for the first 10 enroute miles, yeah that ain't gonna fly. I waited till they were all paid up and dropped the hammer on them. I said disable my account and never call me again. The other night a different dispatcher called and woke me up every hour for 6 hours straight for an an out of area winchout, I won't miss that bullshit. Not once in 7 years did a manager call me and ask how things are going, they never offered me a raise in 7 years so when I called to quit they wanted to send me a blank paper to fill in my rates to see if they can negotiate with me. They tell you they aren't paying the first 10 enroute miles and then they want to negotiate, how about you call me first and talk about. Good riddens.

Come on guys, the letter says the rate decrease will help all parties. Really??

I did not get that email yet. Do you think it is for everyone nationwide? Is it just light duty or heavy or across the board? Could you forward a copy to me? wagnerrepair@comcast.net thanks

Did it have one of those wonderful pressed on driveshafts?

always good to keep the cash register ringing

I would love to stay off the white line but the interstates around me like I-78 and I-81 the shoulders are so narrow when hooking up a tractor trailer we are always on the white line. It sucks. As far as not taking your eye off traffic, our traffic is that heavy you would take hours to hook up a truck if you watched traffic.

They started calling me Saturday morning at 9:00 am for a motorhome tow that was 80 miles away in a campground. It just snowed 1 foot the other day so I am sure getting a motorhome out of a campground would be real fun and customer was only covered for 15 miles, yay, make a bill for customer and Agero. I turned it down. They called 4 more times throughout Saturday. 4:30 am Sunday their automated man called and woke me up for the same tow, I hit turned down the call for out of area. 7:00 am Sunday morning a woman dispatcher calls me for the same tow and woke me up, I went postal on her. Geez, I wonder why nobody is taking on a 1997 motorhome tow on a weekend in a snowed in campground going to a shop that is only open Monday?

If they are in excellent shape you should be ok. If there is any cracks or damage I put 4 small c clamps on the skirts and ratchet strap them together

My problem is I only have rollbacks for cars. The little extra the clubs want to pay for dolly wheels it would take forever just to get your money back on the price of dolly wheels. 10 years ago I had a light duty wrecker with underlift and dollies and after cracking a couple aluminum oil pans on the underlift going over bumps and potholes and people not knowing if their car or minivan was all wheel drive I got rid of it. That is why I was looking for a magic way to release the brakes but I figured there wasn't and I guess I am correct.
Proper procedure to dispose of a car in PA
in Office and Impound

You need to be a salvor in PA to get rid of cars with no title. To become a salvor you need to fill out an inch thick of paperwork that I said screw that. When a car is left sit for more than 24 hours you can call the state police and they come fill out the paperwork and call a salvor to tow it away for you, but you get no money in that scenario.
