Traveling public, beware. A new law aimed at road safety has taken effect and it could inadvertently create a hazard. Known as the Move Over Law, it requires that motorists approaching an emergency scene move over to a lane farther away from the scene itself. Both moving over and slowing down could create trouble. While the law allows the motorist to use his judgment as to whether it’s safe and possible to actually move o…

This Topic was Originally created on Tow411 in September of 2011: We had an interesting job Saturday night that I wanted to share. Got a call from a large leasing company that they had a pup trailer that was disabled near us and needed to get it to Louisville Ky. I told them we could get it to the Ohio border which was about a 320 mile trip one way for us. I suggested that we had a friend near the border that would assist and asked them to check if they used Jeswald's out of Austintown Oh. They said yes that they use them and one other if necessary but I told them we work with these guys and it would make the transition easier. They agreed and made the contact…

I have always been under the impression in PA, that when towing with a wrecker, the amber lights must be on and if the wrecker turn and stop lights are visible behind the causality, there is no need to add stop and turn lights on the causality. Recently, I have seen the lights added when the wrecker lights are clearly visible. What is the law?
