Old Tow

He is in our prayers.

Back in the day (60-70s) used many Holmes trees in the Prescott, AZ area, to lift tractor/trailer rigs that had gone over the side of US-89 (called the white spars area). They were all US Forest Service trees, so never thought of calling anyone in those days. Can tell ya one thing though, when winter rolled around we didn't have to go hunting for firewood, we just cut up the stack of trees in the yard !! 😂

This is getting ridiculous! I sure am glad we are legal to carry my 357 on me. You shoot at me you gonna get return fire immediately !! 🤠

How sad to see this happen, especially when they had built it from the ground up so to speak. Our prayers go out to the owners and the drivers who are now without a job. May God bless Y'all as you strive to rebuild.

Where does the PTO box receive it's lubrication from? I it like the rear differential in that you pull a plug and fill it, or does the tranny fluid lubricate it?? Thanks in advance for any and all answers !

I have been using synthetic rope for the past five years and I love it. I have used it with the regular fairlead and never came unbraided, nor did it ever break. It is so nice to handle and work with. It NEVER bird nests on the drum, or cut your hands. I have always been spectacle about it's true strength so we use it with a snatch block back to the front of the bed, because I have pulled some bodacious loads up on the bed.

Probably just like Vegas, to much boooooze. 😂

We go through training on this exact subject. Tow Zone is correct, it could be any kind of a weapon that could cause the driver to be badly hurt with anything. If it is a J Hook, chain, spreader bar, knife, ect. with proper training and use, the perpetrator can easily be dissarmed. Then jump in the truck and move a safe distance away and by all means then (and only then) call the proper authorities, but stay in the area so you can sign the complaint. DO NOT call the authorities in front of the customer as this will only excalate the perp's anger! I carry a 9mm hand gun in my truck, and many people ask me why. They tell me I am only escalating the problem. Welllll I was a US Navy Seal for 12 years including during the Korean war. (I don't care what everyone says, KOREA WAS A WAR!) I hold a Brown Belt in Karate, a green belt (5kyu) in Judo, and I can disarm most combatants, but NONE of the above ever taught me how too out run a 357 bullet, not even if I manage to get to my slow truck. All that being said I must add that I feel that most ugly situations can be resolved without any physical confrontation through cool minds, tone of voice, and politeness (is that even a word?). I have observed in my 82 years of life that every once in a while some of us driver's have a "short fuse". If that's your case, you need to find a different line of work, preferably one that does NOT require dealing with the public ! Just the ramblings of an OLD Cowboy/Tow Truck Operater, so PLEASE don't holler at me, dat ain't nice!! 🤠

Exactly the reason I am thankful that Arizona is a right to carry State. I carry a 9mm Glock loaded and cocked in my tow truck.

The Trooper and his family are in our prayers as is the Trooper who shot the suspect. Exactly why I live in Arizona and carry a loaded Glock including one in the chamber in my truck!

We use paymetech through Chase bank. No card readers to fall out of the truck or sliders to fail right when you need them. We are a small mom & pop operation but it only takes about 3 minutes to call in and answer three questions. Been using them for 15 years and never had one bit of trouble, and they send an invoice ones a month that we just turn over to the book keeper.
