Topic Originally Create by Max King in October of 2006: Had this one yesterday afternoon. After they put it in the ditch they tried to pull it out with a grader but could not get the roller out of the ditch. Did not have a lot of room to work with the narrow road. I used tree for a dead man, thought I might have trouble setting with the new gravel on the road. It come out real nice and everbody was happy. They did not have any idea what it weighed but getting the roller and the frame work out of the ditch took a little tug. Bruce KW5030 said: Nicely done Th…

This Topic was created by Owl Wrecker in July of 2009: A fertilizer spreader that was really stuck in the mud, just NE of Minot. With the soil being so saturated, it was impossible to get a heavy duty enough wrecker close enough to winch out the spreader. The winch box attachment for the skid steer was a great success to this recovery.

Driver missed turn per GPS and continued on. Attempted to turn around at this house and this really happened. No injuries. Fancy neighborhood, irrigation systems, landscaping, and not the place for big wreckers or equipment. The "professionals" at the scene wanted truck "jerked" out. What happens when porch hits hood? I have a feeling something will spring a leak. Air cushions worked well quick and easy. Enjoy.

Moved this 1956 Massy-Ferguson 85 from one side of my customers farm to his shop on the other side. there was a drivetrain issue that locked the rear wheels up on it. Using a 2-part line, some boards and skates I was able to load and unload with ease. This customer uses all vintage equipment to run his farm and I was told this is his "newest" tractor. Note the old belt driven saw wheel near the rear of my truck. It was pretty cool to see a farm rum with all vintage gear. it was like stepping back in time.

Dicks Towing This was the recovery of a $8 million dollar plane a few months ago that over shot the runway around 350’ due to a brake failure, we were able to use our matjack air cushions and lift the plane up out of the mud and pull steel plates under the landing gear with our excavator, then build a steel plate road back to the runway. We then used our 75ton rotator to winch the plane back to the runway damage free! with a very happy customer! All in a days work here at Dicks Towing whatever the issue you got will get it handled for you.

A local Farm Hand got the John Deere tractor stuck back in April 1st... later he stuck the Brand New (11hrs on it ) Kabota ... That same day he stuck a 4x4 Blazer. Seems like I was told something else was stuck that he got out but he is no longer a Farm hand and today we finally were able to get out there and pull it all out.

We reloaded the boat back on the trailer and then the whole unit on to our low boy and transported it back to our yard. When the boat company came to pick it up I decided to play with the new tator and crane it off the damaged trailer and set it on to the new trailer. Scoo…

I was called for a 13,000lb forklift leaning on a house, I brought my 1981 Kenworth W900A with a Holmes 750. Found an all terrain forklift had fallen fully extended into a house on a steep side incline. Structural steel was damaged when the forklift went over. I rigged to the boom of the forklift with a continuous loop in a choker fashion to prevent shifting as it came upright, rigged directly off the mast for a side pull with the outrigger down. Blocking front & rear of the low side wheels on the lift & parking brake set I winched it upright, as it was clear of the building & upright I had the operator start the machine & lower the boom as I kept tension…
