  1. About six months ago, I undertook a project that has brought me much joy. I want to share this with all of you that you may find challenging information, humor and the occasional bit of wisdom. My passion for teaching was first sparked while working as a firefighter and has grown through new opportunities with WreckMaster. Lessons and experiences from my work in the field of towing and recovery are being documented monthly in the form of a podcast called Heroes From The Ditch. The content is intended to appeal to all of my brothers and sisters who respond to the ditch to help others in need. It is my hope that what you see and hear will make your jobs a little easier and be a small part of what takes you home safely at the end of every shift to those that love you and need you. A special thanks to Justin Cruse, Lindsey Herman and Tim O'Brien at WreckMaster for making this possible. Here are the last two episodes where we are beginning a 5-part series on WreckMaster's SCENE discipline. SCENE: Survey for Success SCENE: The Calisthenics of Calculate Checkout WreckMaster's channel on YouTube to find all of the rest.
  2. It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of a life-long towing and recovery operator and business owner. Ronnie Barrickman passed away on August 23, 2021. Ronnie was a fixture of the Oldham and surrounding Kentucky counties communities and a well-known and talented towing operator. He served countless motorists and first responders with his knowledge, skills and abilities. Barrickman's Towing and Recovery was a longstanding member of TRAK. A procession of towing and recovery vehicles along with partners from other first responder agencies will participate in Ronnie’s last run Saturday, August 28, 2021. Mr. Barrickman’s rollback will serve as a hearse, carrying his casket from the funeral home in LaGrange, KY to the Bedford cemetery. Details of the procession, including times and staging areas will be forthcoming. Questions about the procession should be directed to Casey Burrows – casey@burrowswrecker.com Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Barrickman AUGUST 9, 1960 – AUGUST 23, 2021 Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Barrickman, 61, of Pendleton, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 23, 2021. 5. Please say a prayer for Tommy. He's recovering nicely after surgery. The Burrows Team did a parade lap around his hospital today just so that he knows we love him and miss him at his post.
