TowForce Posted June 20, 2021 Share Posted June 20, 2021 WILKES-BARRE — Police arrested two men after they allegedly stole a tow truck and led officer on a short pursuit through the city. The two suspects, who were not named by police on scene, were taken into custody on Courtright Street in Wilkes-Barre shortly before noon on Sunday. An officer on scene said that the call came in roughly a half hour prior to the truck’s recovery. The truck, from Ayers Towing Service based out of Mountain Top, was allegedly reported stolen out of the Turkey Hill parking lot on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. A short pursuit ended on Courtright Street, where the two suspects were handcuffed and taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported, and no damage to any vehicles or other personal property was reported to police. The truck was recovered and driven from the scene by an employee from Ayers.
