Not to mention it only took 3 trips back to the cab before this bozo realized the P.T.O. wouldnt engage because the TRUCK WAS STILL IN REVERSE from when he first backed into it.... sweetk30
and also there was no need to back up . now he has no wiggle room back there . kick the bed out the 2-3 ft he backed up and suck the bed in as you control the decent off the upper tire before the BIG uncontrolled flop happens . and now i watched it on the shop computer screen the wheel lift was getting beat the hell up also . dperone
Any operator who took the time to attend any formal training class would've been able to one lane that car in the space provided without beating the hell out of two decent pieces of equipment. I'm not usually a fan of the government reaching any further into our lives, but videos like these make me wish there were more barriers to entry into our industry. If I need a license to clip your hair, snake your drain, or trim your tree, why can't there be a license to tow your car? While it won't totally weed out idiots like this, it would make them less common then they are today.
sweetk30
In new york there is tow truck endorsement on your license. . . . But its so old school of a PAPER test its not funny . And yes way to many ZERO experience drivers just thrown in a truck . Stubborn66
Yet another reason not to grow the company and have to hire drivers. If it is not theirs, they do not care at all.

I dunno, I see plenty of one truck operations running around doing crazy shit around here and beating the hell out of the trucks that they purchased with blood sweat and tears in the process.

I agree, but at least they are tearing up their own equipment not someone else's.
jp245
This is what you get when you let You Tube and Facebook train your drivers for you. What really amazes me more than lack of concern for the equipment is that the driver doesn't seem concerned that he was standing where the car was landing. Moose
Amazing and keep in mind there are cameras out there to catch this kinda stupidity. I wonder just how close that vehicle fell to the driver working the controls. This is a great safety meeting discussion for sure.

yoBdaBenO
See It All The Time! Better never see one of our drivers abusing the equipment. This will be in our meeting tomorrow, Thanks TowForce you're a great Resource!
