We run push bumpers on our light duties and wouldn't think not to.

Certainly A Heroic Act! Deserves the HERO Award, I may even be there. Never Know. . .

Around here the cops would have taken the driver out after striking the first police vehicle. The Tow Truck would have at that point been classified as a deadly weapon having been used in a manner that could result in death. This went on far too long resulting in numerous property damages. All of our units have an extra door key and the vehicle is not left unlocked at the scene. That is if the driver leaves the vehicle other than hooking up. I would say many will be reviewing this situation now. I have seen some reference to this being some type of carjacking incident. Waiting to hear if that was the case.

Thoughts and Prayers, seems few are responding. Many don't want to see or hear about these deaths, so they block them out.

Okay, been out all night on a recovery and just got in. Since I could not sleep, I checked my email got the updates, and decided I needed to log in. I am still here just busy and still need a couple more tow operators. I would have thought the list of patrons would be much larger, this is such a great resource. I'm going to keep the politics out of it. But it seems politics has affected so much in our personal and business lives. Coupe hours of sleep and I am back up again for a scheduled equipment move. Oh yeah, we did get a sliding axle trailer. It is not new and it is not the Landau I had hoped for, but it works. For Now! I will log in tonight or tomorrow as it seems I have some catching up to do.

Very Sad, this little girl has not only lost her dad to someone's negligence. But, she was there when the tragedy took place. I hope they did their best to shield her from the scene. Prayers to the entire family.

We are located in Texas, I'm just a driver. My parents make the decisions when it comes to insurance. I do provide them with information when I believe is worthy of a look. They know I am taking more of an interest and Dad was on Tow411 several years ago. He doesn't have much time anymore as we added additional businesses. The Truck Shop keeps him busy and he rarely makes a wrecker run.

Sadly, that is one thing missing here from years past. The Insurance provider involvement. Our guy isn't into social media and only writes a few states. What state are you located in?

Got plenty of those running around here and we though TDLR was going to resolve this issue. NOPE

While we do not do PPI's regularly we will take care of some of our business customers needs and we have gotten stuck with abandons. Luckily, it has not been as much of a hassle to dispose of them here. In fact, we get stuck with more wrecked vehicles that the insurance dumps on us. That is a bigger problem than the few PPI's we are stuck with each year and the PPI's pay better than the Police Tows. So, we see it as working itself out. But, yes I can relate to the land having a value regardless if something is occupying it or not. I just stopped trying to rationalize our business practice using that method alone after looking at space that had potential. Is there a standard or a one size fits all in this industry?

I can not get away at the end of September, Trying to get to Baltimore in November. But, I really do want to make it to Chattanooga one of these days.
