Marked my Calendar for January 24th, as I want to follow this one.

Sounds like a broken system. I do get their issue with an increase in stolen vehicles. We are getting one and two KIA's a day. Insurance Companies take weeks to pick them up and those are not the totaled ones. Yes, the thieves are wrecking them. One smelled like weed so bad the adjuster said this one might be a total and they would send it to action as is. One of our guys said the time involved to cover the smell could come at a high cost. Has anyone dealt with this issue and are stolen vehicles piling up in your lot?

Have not had a call for a Mercedes Service for weeks now. WE were getting them through NSD then AGERO. If you are doing Mercedes-Benz Roadside Service who are you getting your calls through?

Wow, it has been a whole month since I have gotten time to sit down and go through the topics. Glad to hear Al was okay, hope all that got hurt might have been some pride. Those of us who have done this for long enough have had some kinda mishap on ice. At least those who get ice.

24 hours later, is there a status on the Tow Truck Driver. Looks like a horrific crash.

Thoughts go out to the family, another tragic loss of life because a driver did not care. Do we know if Alcohol or Drugs were a factor?

@Michael Fuchs So glad you survived the attack and are able to provide a follow up as to this case. Not sure how much information you can share at this point. I do know the legal system moves slow. Two Factors are in play here: Questions I have are, One: What is the current legal status Proceedings Judgement? Two: Were you legally classified as an independent contractor?

It's been nearly a month and while we know how slow government moves is there a current status somewhere. In checking it does seem to have stalled in the house. Is this due to the change in majority leadership next year?

The fines issued can never be enough to gain attention to the issue. It seems only a few are ever really fined...

California seems to be one of the most leanest states when it comes to handing down sentences. This one is an example of where the sentence does not recognize the tragic loss of life and the contributing factors which cause that life to be lost. I feel for the victims family as justice was not served.

I always say, in many situations you are better off taking on the deer then taking a tree or possibly worse.

We have purchased Jackets for employees at this time of year. However, it has been a number of years since we have done anything like that here. A little late this year, but since they are now a sponsor we will look into this after the first of the year. Maybe as Safety Awards, just not as many employees as in the past.
