A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured Sunday when the cruiser he was sitting in was struck by another vehicle on westbound Interstate 80. The deputy was treated at Great Plains Health and released. The driver of the other vehicle, a 38-year-old Fresno, California, man, was treated for minor injuries, according to a media release. The man was wanted on a warrant from California for parole violation. He was transported to the Lincoln County Detention Center. According to the media release: Deputies were at the scene of a crash at mile marker 156, just outside Hershey. The deputy was sitting in his cruiser in the passing lane of the highway with emergency lights on while a tow truck was loading the vehicle involved in the crash. The deputy also had a directional arrow that directed traffic into the other lane and away from the tow truck. The California man’s car, traveling at a high speed, then struck the cruiser, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Icy roads and drugs are believed to be contributing factors as the man smelled of marijuana, according to the Sheriff’s Office. RESOURCE LINK

Hamilton woman killed in crash on I-75 in Montgomery County MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (FOX19) - A Hamilton woman was killed in four-car a crash in Harrison Township Sunday afternoon. OSHP says they are investigating a four-vehicle crash that happened a little after 12 p.m. on I-75 South near Benchwood Rd. Investigators say two vehicles were stopped on the right berm of I-75, waiting for a tow truck for an abandoned car. One car was sitting directly behind the abandoned car and another driven by Sarenthia Traylor, 53, of Hamilton, with a passenger Cesere Traylor, 28 was parked behind them. Another car drove onto the right shoulder, hitting the vehicle driven by Traylor, causing a chain reaction, OSHP investigators say. Sarenthia Traylor died from her injuries on the way to the hospital; her passenger was critically injured and officials say was transported to a nearby hospital. The other two drivers were taken to nearby hospitals with minor injuries, OSHP says. Officers say alcohol or drug use is not suspected to be a factor in the crash. Now, if the towing business was related to another business such as a repair business. I would most certainly avoid non-consent towing as that could prove deter-mental if not just aggravating to business. -

While I have not been in this type of towing for many years. You actually you would not believe how many of those would were towed for illegal parking called for service because it was the only company they knew. That isn't the same today as most just do a search on their phone and have no idea who or what they are calling. -
If she did not have locks on the first set, bet she does on the next set. While locks do not stop a thief, they do act as a deterrent. I too wondered about the window covering, good to know the customer did that.

When there was enough funds to sponsor golf carts. Tow411 Sponsored the carts at the ESTRA Tow Show. While i never made it to the show, they did posts pictures of the carts and did a nice job on the signage. I still like the message on the golf carts and the value the carts provide to a show. It didn't seem to result in adding new members. When asking those who attended the shows they could remember the signage on the carts just a few days later. ESTRA did the best, maybe we can get back to sponsoring these in the future. With New Sponsors in the works, that should be back on track later this year.
