Why is it membership in these state and national towing associations so low? The Trucking Companies don't seem to have a problem supporting their associations. ATA and OOIDA seem strong but then I could be wrong.

It was an interesting forum, but I can understand if it doesn't return. I lost a couple of friends back then and they still don't talk as much. So with that said, is it something that we need in the forums? Maybe it would get the level of activity up and what if it causes controversy rather than lively debates and discussions?

I Agree and the last two that didn't make the Top Ten need to be kicked to the Curb.

Instead of making the call, they often make it much worse. That can then results in a higher cost.

This one deserves Recognition and a Hero Award.

Congrats Geoff for achieving and being honored with the highest recognition in the Industry. Towman of the Year is right up there with WreckMaster of the Year! Thanks for being an inspiration to others in our industry.

It's not just the liability one has created it is a reckless use of equipment. Stay out of the roadway unless the greater danger is in the roadway.
Often we will sit behind a disabled vehicle until Law Enforcement, Road Service, or another one of our units can arrive. But never at an angle.
To those who say just pick it up and get it out of the roadway. That's great if you have an auto-load and can do it quickly. Otherwise, you are exposing yourself to greater danger. Face It Our Jobs are Dangerous Enough. Think About It... What Would You Do?

Not only that, is the damage to the property that could have been avoided. Meaningless?

Been using Beacon for many years now. Thinking about switching, curious about what others are using and if they are satisfied. Have not had any issues until the past 6 months, maybe a year. Nothing major but support is lacking.

If you keep doing business the way you are now.
What will your business look like.....

They didn't use my money this time. Though I am sure they have in the past.

Haven't taken a call from Agero is years. They can call the nearest company that does take their calls. They are only 50 miles away!

I just listened to the Tow Business Podcast 110 and was wondering why these are not listed in this forum.
Here is a link to the podcast as I can not share it here. https://towbusinesspodcast.com/episodes/
Anyway, I found the part about Brian aka Wags very interesting. I was not at the Chattanooga Show so everything I have heard is second or third removed.
Does anyone really know what took place to prompt Tow Times to ask Wags to vacate the building?
From what I gather Big Stiffy Jason invited or I guess asked Brian to attend the show and join him in the Edge-Tec Booth without properly clearing it with them.
Then when they saw him they didn't have a desire to have him in their booth, is that accurate? So, he wandered around and another exhibitor offered a portion of her space for him to set up as he didn't have anyplace. Thanks, Doreen with Integrated for being so kind. An Exhibitor then complained (was that Edge-Tec?) and then someone with the show asked him to leave, he then made his way to the door. This is confusing and I am hoping someone has more details.
I have watched the videos Wags has posted and gotten some of the pictures. But, I still would like to know how this happened as I feel Brian got used and in the end, everything was supposed to be Okay. Well, I don't think it was Okay, and Brian just agreed that it was. What do you think and what do you know? Obviously, several people and a couple of companies ended up with eggs in their faces.

EEK!!! A SPIDER, We've found much worse...

We wait till the water recedes as it is just too dangerous and our trucks do not need to be in high water. Unless set up properly, every truck I have know which was intentionally have had issues starting with the rear end getting water through the vent.

That could have been really BAD, take precautions, and learn from this as those cab jacks are like car jacks and they can fail.

Seems I am checking in late to the party. We have been totally busy lately, hope everyone else has as well.
Remember to support TowForce like I do every year. Keep up the good work Ron, it's now better than Tow411.

In this tragic loss of life still under investigation. Seems I have not seen any follow ups any place. Then again I don't look at Facebook much anymore.

Has anyone ever thought this could happen to any one of our companies? Our drivers carry an extra key and lock the door if not working the truck cause turning it off on scene isn't an option with all the lights activated.
