  1. Mom, doesn't get on Social Media other then to maybe follow family on Facebook. That's only when she gets a call to look at it. If there were more women posting in here I might be able to get her to get an account and log in.

Who are the women in the group or is it a network...

  2. In this topic I want to tell you about a new employee that didn't listen. We start out employees with one week of vacation after the first year. This employee was explained the benefits when he was hired. After 90 days he came in and wanted to take his first weeks vacation. Needless to say he was not happy and quit cause he wanted time off. That was fine cause he didn't listen half of the time anyway. By the way had he asked for a week off without pay and provided a valid reason, we do that during the first year or any year. Preferably only once and only one employee at a time. Two employees can't decide to go hunting the same day. Unless they take me with them. Just Kidding, we are short staffed, I got a truck to drive and runs to make.

So, in addition what if any vacation does your company offer. We are at One Week After the First Year. Two Weeks after the Third Year and Three Weeks after the Fifth. One employee has been in the shop 12 years Dad gives him 4 weeks. That's not disclosed but I'd say anyone that makes it 10 years gets it.

What do you offer, What do you get? Now that I think about it, I have not had a vacation all year.

Feels like it has been Summer since the First of June.

The official start of summer kicks off in the Northern Hemisphere today (June 21), marking the longest day of the year.

This is what I found, along with the image:

The June solstice will occur at 11:32 p.m. EDT (0332 June 21 GMT), when the sun reaches the point at which it is farthest north of the celestial equator. Reaching its highest and northernmost point in the sky, the sun must travel its longest path, meaning it will take longer to rise and to set, which is why today marks the longest day — or longest period of sunlight hours — and shortest night.

  4. The employees that have been here for years are like family. Those staying less the a couple of years never get to that point. They leave thinking the others are treated special, well duh they are time vested in the company. Paid with sweat equity as they say. To those who have not put in the time or choose not to put forth the effort. You'll never get there with that attitude, no matter were you go.

  5. These Thieves are getting bold, I say it's greed. As long as the prices remain high and they are easy to sell the market will drive to continued loss. Our Police caught one ring of 3 thieves one night with a dozen convertors. They went to court the next day and back on the streets doing it again. An officer said it makes them not care to catch them when Judges let them out the nest day. The judges do not even make them pay restitution, stating they can't afford it. That's Not Even Funny for how much they get for the convertors.

  6.

Each year on the last Month in May Americans Honor our armed forces personnel,

the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for the good of the nation.

Memorial Day makes us remember those who gave their lives to secure ours. This

federal holiday serves as a reminder of significance of their sacrifice to the nation.

I realize, that I am late in the day. But, if you would can show your true feelings this

Memorial Day by sharing your thoughts and a thank our fallen heroes for their courage.

    who died protecting it.” –Unknown

  7. Nothing Government has done has made trucking safer. Why should anyone think this would be any different.

A message to those companies with all the fancy electronics. Yeah, we're not blind... We know you have been turning a blind eye to excessive speeds as you push the drivers to run harder. Who is at fault for all the accidents, who is issuing CDL's like their a prize in a Cracker Jack Box. Making drivers work extra days and somehow you have figured out how to manipulate the ELD program.
