What states can tow truck & trailers together

Would like to know which states aloe towing of semi truck trailer as on unit or have to spilt them up 

Kansas is a split state

Can tow tractor and trailer.  Doubles only to the nearest safe haven then have to split

See it done all the time in NJ & NY.   Not sure if it is legal.  

I assume a doubles cdl endorsement would be requiired

Louisiana allowed. Arkansas not allowed. TX allowed, MS allowed.

In NY a semi combo with one 53' trailer can be towed on state routes and interstates. On the NYS thruway where double 53' B-trains are allowed can be towed off the thruway to the nearest exit under police escort at speeds not to exceed 30 mph. If memory serves right the max length on state highways and interstates is 185' without a special permit and escort. I could be wrong on that but that is the number that keeps coming to mind. Been many a year since I have been in the heavy towing end of things.
