Chuckud
14 passenger stretch with broken shift cable in a cul-de-sac. Lots of fun in the rain. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
dperone
Of course they always are facing the wrong way when you can't get them out of park. How far did you tow it on the dollies?
Chuckud
About 28 miles at 35 mph, i became " Mr popular" because the speed limit was 50. It looked like NASCAR in the rearview mirrors behind me.Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
dperone
Lol you're a braver man then me, I'd have dropped those dollies as soon as I had access to the back and grabbed it from the rear. Then again I'm from Jersey where holding up traffic is a justifiable reason for homicide to some people
mooresbp
Shouldn't be that hard to get out of park. Lift it and pop the cable off? George - - Moore's BP We'll see you on down the road
TowZone
I do not see where it would make a difference which end it was towed. As the Dollies are suggested for ground clearance. Saves from possibly damaging a bumper. Have not had one in several years, though I do not recall a dolly cause it was going a short distant. Likely used the in cab remote a couple of time. You got it there safely that's all that matter. Good post for those that may have reservations about towing limos. Just have to remember to swing wider, since they do not bend in the middle. dperone
You can lift limos sky high without worrying about dragging the bumper. Hard to tell here but the rear tires were just over the center of my axle and I still had about a foot clearance on the front
Chuckud
Just a few details, not in park, stuck in drive, no access to rear of car, as it was disabled in the midst of trying to turn around on a down hill cul-de-sac. Picked up from front at a 60 to 70 degree angle & made what seemed like a 10 point turn to get clear of the cul-de-sac. Wish I had taken pics of it when I arrived. I probably do 15 to 20 limos a year and prefer dollies when I'm not sure of clearance over speed bumps.Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Njsss
Dollies could be a issue in some areas like NYC. We have only done a few & simply pulled 1 driveshaft between carrier bearings. Alot safer .
Chuckud
Correction, just re-read my last comment...I am have towed 15 to 20 limos over the years, not a year...sorrySent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
