shoptow Posted June 29, 2018 Share Posted June 29, 2018 hey guys I use a Vulcan strapless now was thinking next truck maybe autoloader? any thoughts which is better or worse in certain situations? which is quicker with safety chains and lights done right? not using for repo just repair shop use. Louwo Posted June 29, 2018 Share Posted June 29, 2018 I like the Vulcan system when used correctly with all safety's and pins in place. Never used a auto loader but with practice I see a equal benefit. Just have to strap both tires down and install chains. Another benefit I can see with the autoloader is picking up or dropping off cars along side a curb. It's kinda tough to slide in the scoops alongside a curb. Orcas Tow Posted July 1, 2018 Share Posted July 1, 2018 I have owned a Vulcan & Chevron Autogrip. I will not own anything light duty without an autogrip anymore. They are great for flat tires, up against curbs, picking from mud puddles/snow, etc... No monkeying around with spoons or L arms & easy on the back.
