GRUMPS The Towman
You have got to be kidding me.... This bozo actually went down a public road towing that like that? All that dangling off a single 3/8" winch line and the tips of a cheapy sports car bridle... Not to mention it is just over one and a half times the legal GVW...... I cant believe this guy has any of those three things The forum moderators post these "what would you do" threads from time to time as a discussion point for us members. It is also a good "wow" factor that there are really some dumb assed people out there that actually get away with this crap regularly.. Think of it as if this clown worked for you.. How would you handle seeing him do this with your equipment. What would you do differently if presented with the problem type of stuff. I personally look forward to these. some of them are really out of this world stupid. Lol Quote PROFESSIONAL TOWING & RECOVERY IS NOT JUST A JOB.. TowZone
We are working on bringing these back on a regular basis. While the majority are from the past, this one is much more current. It is amazing to realize how many new drivers will attempt these tows and just because they got away with it think is was all good. When a Tow Operator knows this could have gone bad at anytime. The fear is those lacking proper training will think this is the way it goods. They lean heavily on "If It Fits, It Ships". They are posted in these forum because the make great safety meeting material.
Stubborn66
That could certainly be a "how not to" topic
TowZone
The series was known as "Tow It For What" on the old message board. As the song "Turn Down for What" faded away it needed a new theme. I suppose it could just be a Safety Discussion however that would like get fewer views leading to less discussion. Perhaps a new title will appear next year. yoBdaBenO
I always like these as we generally know a local tow truck that we tow like this..... Dad says they are "Flyin By The Seat Of Their Pants" one day they're going to lose their shirt.
