Had a recovery at a major crossing once. Called the police who called NJ Transit. 2 hours later after rush hour trains they shut the line down for me to winch the van up the hill as I sat across the crossing. Only place I can be to recover the owners van. Poor fellow was so worried the van would slide down the hill sat there for a little bit till I tossed a few rocks under the tires.
Any RR crossing if you are there for even a hookup call the number at the crossing if not call local PD. Trains IMO have a little more weight and I've always land, air, or water respect yield to tonnage.- 1

How fast did you have to drive the bobtail to get it on there?

Thank you. Kinda figured here would be the place to start.Currently there is no back haul forum, we've tried a couple of times iver the years and there is never enough activity. So, Main Street is fine at this time.
Got a price for a dolly which is considerably cheaper then I thought it would be. I am going that route I believe. -
First off I missed the roll call I'm here just was not the past 6 months or so with a change in the truck I drive.
I do not know where the forum is anymore for asking about back logs or along the lines. So here it goes. If in the wrong forum please point me into the right direction.
I will be needing a good transport company to relocate a car within the month. In St Lucie county, FL going up to Warren County, NJ. Just a 2 door 2017 Accord sport nothing crazy or heavy.
Its either have someone move it or I'm going to put it on a trailer and pull it myself. Just trying to figure out different options if there's a lesser expensive path.

Is that a pony motor behind the boom for hydraulics? Wow that's a trip.

How about plug it into your TV with a hdmi cked if it had that output. I did that with mine when that happened

Just about to break out the hair dryer and I'd figure I'd share a lil thing I have found to help me. Nothing worse when you feel that water creep on you foot and the day has just begun. It's called SNO-SEAL I've been using this stuff for over 10 years. Its beeswax based I only put it on my boots once and my dogs are happy and dry in all weather from the heavies of rain to the wettest pile of slush on the side of the highway. Just treated myself with new boots since the other pair is time for replacement. One jar goes a long way not even half way through this little 7oz jar. It's on Amazon if anyone is looking.

Maybe merge this with the other thread on this incodend with hope's of safe healing.
On another note these are the reasons why I don't like running on the big roads for state pd. Never know who you will come across on a DMV and if they can pay the rates. A torn issue when you say you can not tow someone home 30 miles that they say they can not afford. (Not saying this happened here but my biggest worry on the big roads) -
Can't wait to see more of a show in our industry.

Light board on the back?

Looks sharp.

I did hear talk that Nussbaums was changing names. Good to know it will still be a Jerrdan dealer location.

Plus the time to drain and refill the diff.
-
I'd do the same maybe a rag or flag on the tail. Lights yeah the towmate lights are so quick to lay out.

That's great. Ty very much. It's only in time when we will come across one here. Towed a few but for 2 flat tires. Drives like a electric forklift just faster.

Looks great Ed.

Towed one a little lifted with oversized tires..... that's when I used the sling.

Floating in and out, not towing as much. Went for a change of pace and started working on generators, still on the roads tho.
