What we know now is that the Owner of Overland Tow Service in Overland Park, KS lost his life on Thursday April 29, 2021. An informational page was made public yesterday by Chevy Medina with details of the Funeral Arraignments: Place: St. Joseph Catholic Church Date & Time: Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 7 PM EDT The family cordially invites guests to the services and events celebrating Joe’s life. A Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 6 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS, 66203. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s at 10:00 AM Friday, May 7 with a luncheon to follow at the Shawnee Knights of Columbus Hall, 11221 Johnson Drive. The family is hosting a celebration of Joe at noon Saturday, May 8, at Overland Tow Service, 3505 Merriam Lane, Overland Park, KS, 66203. Moose Posted May 5, 2021 Share Posted May 5, 2021 Worry about something like this happening all the time. Hope we learn more about what went wrong at some point. For now we mourn the loss of another Tow Op killed in the line of duty. To everyone that views this topic, use all the safety precautions at your disposal. Never get in such a hurry you disregard safety procedures. While I don't know what caused this death, it had to be either a catastrophic equipment failure or an error. Either way this is a lost to the family, friends, employees and the industry. What I have learned from reading reports is this was a good man, the lord often takes to best first. Gods Speed...
