I recently purchased this 1995 GMC, C7500 Topkick, with Holmes MD616 Wrecker unit. It was purchased new as part of a Fleet Order from Valley Wrecker Sales, of Fresno, Ca., for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).

1979 Ford F800, Holmes 600, with long wheelbase "Continental" service body. You don't find one owner, low milage, well kept equipment like this often. It still had all of it's original paperwork, a d manuals, in the glivebox. It was spec'd, a d purchased new from Auto Equipment Inc., (New Holmes Wrecker Distributor)of Statesville, N.C. in August of 1978. Runs good, and all I need to do is fix the pro cable.

Finally got the rear fenders on the W35 service body this past weekend. Tire size is so large, I need to slightly modify the wheel well opening some.

This Wrecker was purchased new by Boyett Chevrolet Inc., of Corcoran, California. It was sold in the late 70s to, Norris and Son Auto Repair, and Towing, of Hanford, California. Norris owned it until the early 2000s. A Wrecker Service in Tulare purchased it from them, with the intentions of restoring it. I purchased it from them about 5 years ago, and had it hauled here to North Carolina.
