mushspeed
We received a call by the police to recover a car which had been reported stolen by joyriders and careered out of control through a garden and into a house ending up in the kitchen fortunately no one was in the house and the joyriders ran off... keys in the ignition !! stolen ?? yeh Right !! On arrival we were informed by the police the house structure was damaged and could not remove it until a structural surveyor says it is safe to do so........ Lots of official lookers but nobody doing very much after waiting an age for the surveyor to show up.... it was necessary to support the internal ceilings with acrow props before we could crane the car out. it turned out the car was uninsured and had no registered keeper so we ended up with a worthless pile of scrap and had to eat the bill. I don't know how the householder got on but the house was boarded up for quite a while.
