Blowin In The Wind...

Had some bad storms come through the other day and it blew this trailer over in to another one...

 

 

Had 1 of my guys come help with the little truck so I could control it. I didn't want to bend the landing gear up on it so I lifted the trailer & spun it...

 

 

Easy job, then we had another on property that the landing gear failed & it nosed down.

That had to be some strong wind. Are those trailers currently in use, cause it looks a bit worn down.

No these are for storage only...they have a hundred or more at the DC for seasonal items & what not.

 

The one that dropped was actually going for scrap...

 

 

Doesn't matter to me...all pays the same

No my propane guy stayed vertical during the storm....LoL

 

Yea George we have a large DC 4 miles from our shops. They are one of our largest commercial customers.

Got a call yesterday, I guess their salvage guy came to pick up the trailer. He pulled it out in to the lane & it had a brake hanging up. So he left it and they had someone come look at it....and ended up cutting the chamber rods so it would roll. So later a switcher came over to move it out of the lane and when he hit the pin the trailer took off & fell off the stands!

 

 

I just went over with my little truck & set it back on stands again. I offered to hold it and have them back under it but they said just to prop it up again....

Funny but it sounds like someone did not use their God given brains that day. He should have chocked it knowing that it had no parking brakes.
