DWI is a tremendous money generator for the government. New Mexico also has roadside sobriety checkpoints. I spoke with an officer a few years back as I passed through and he stated that they would probably arrest 25 DWI/DUI offenders that night alone at that particular checkpoint.

Seven? Is that all? Mark Allen Warner of River Falls, Wisconsin holds what is likely to remain an unbroken record for the greatest number od DUIs in the state. He racked up a total of 15 drunk driving convictions before the age of 40, mainly in the 1990s.
