Tow truck in ditch slows WB traffic on I-20 near Tyler (TX)

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - UPDATE: DPS said the wreck has been cleared and all lanes are back open.

A wreck involving a tow truck is slowing westbound traffic on Interstate 20 near Tyler.

According to the Department of Public Safety, troopers are currently on scene of the wreck. DPS said they received a report of a tow truck off the roadway and in a ditch off of the westbound lanes of I-20, just east of the FM 14 exit.

Westbound traffic is down to one lane as crews work to clear the scene. According to a reporter on the scene, traffic is backed up for about 3 miles due to the wreck.

All reports on driver status is he has a broken collarbone. He blew left front steer tire during heavy rain.

 

I have not seen the name of the company listed anyplace. Looks like Action Towing on the Boom.
