rreschran Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Just asking ... has one of your driver's been clocked by a dolly bar when installing dollies? How did the injury occur? What training do you provide, book learning, hands-on, in-the-field? Your imput would be most valuable. Best Regards. Quote Randall C. Resch
dperone Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I'm the only one in our company that uses dollies and I've yet to self clock myself, knock on wood. My training consisted of tow411 posts and YouTube videos along with reading the manual mine came with and loading a bunch of cars in the yard. 1 Quote
Limittowing Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 It can happen when you are close to a wall and you can’t fully lock follies and lose your grip. Or if you are popping the release bars you can get your hand stuck if you are slow on removing it. Quote
Derlyn Z Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 It has never happened to me. But it happened to a guy that was hauling for Copart in our parking lot. I'm not sure what exactly happened, but His buddy was pulling the pole back, and this guy was trying to get it to lock in, and the pole slipped and got him good over the head. The one guy from our office ran him to the hospital, cause he had a big gash on his head. Quote
Steve W Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Here is some pics from the last year of injuries from the Facebook Group. More common than we think. I was trained on them during new employee training for the FSP program. Drilled home to never stand in front or to the rear of the path of the bar. Take it across your body with your arms. Made us practice that 3 times a day for 2 weeks!! Quote Steve W. Los Angeles, CA FSP Operator
