SUPERIOR35 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Any downside to the larger tire wheel dollies ? Clearance problems on low cars etc. ? I like the extra capacity, less bearing speed and less tire revolutions per mile, but not if the larger size is an issue on some vehicles. Quote
Stubborn66 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 I have not had a car I could not load. The tires are outside of the casualty and the cross bars rest on the ground until you ratchet them up. I bought the larger tires because of all the reasons you listed Quote
GRUMPS The Towman Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 My biggest Issue with the 5.60's was the weight and the obvious bulkier set up to mess around with in tight areas like parking spaces and such. We have a ton of tight , narrow and rough side roads around the colleges and I actually preferred the 5.60's for those to get the higher clearances.I just hated carrying them back and forth from the truck. lol. They do seem to be a lot more forgiving on the old brick paved roads and such. Another difference is price of course. the 5.60's are considerably more expensive.
