I think every situation is different, but as a rule (and there is exceptions) anything deeper than the wheel is a no-no. If the wheels get wet, the truck is immediately pulled from service and gets a full service and all the fluids get changed... no exceptions. Of course the service gets billed to the vehicle towed.

My policy has been once I have the casualty loaded, I am just a normal vehicle and should follow all laws. This situation proves home this point.
Plus, even if I am unloaded and headed to emergency call, the object is I get there in one piece. I am no good if I don't get there.

We are sad to report that we have lost one of our local tow company owners.
Danny C. Fry - 75, the owner of Poor Boys Garage & Salvage of St Robert Mo passed away this morning, 2/6/2020.
Danny had fought a battle with cancer for approx the last year and died peacefully in his sleep this morning.
Poor Boys Garage & Salvage was the main player in the heavy wrecker business in Pulaski County for several years.
Danny was also a firefighter for many many years to include being Fire Chief of Saint Robert for several of those years.
A firefighters funeral and a tow truck possession are planned. Details are to follow and this post will be updated when the plans are made.
The owners and employees of Anybody Towing wishes his family and employees our deepest condolences.

Procession
To honor Danny Fry’s 60 years of wrecker service, 46 years of fire department service and 16 years of law enforcement service, an Emergency Services Procession will be held. The lineup will be at the St Robert Community Center/Service location and will travel the approx 4 miles to Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville after the services.

For those people traveling to St Robert and plan to stay the night before or the day of the funeral: The Comfort Inn of St Robert has been gracious enough to provide discounts to those people for the asking. There is a procession planned...
Tow Companies from east of I-44 145 MM are planning to caravan from the 145 MM (Oasis Travel Plaza, Oasis Truck Stop) to Lebanon. We will be leaving the Oasis at 12 Noon on the 25th. We have been asked to be set up at the funeral home by 1 pm for the 2 pm service.
Only local tow companies trucks will be allowed in the funeral home parking lot (small lot) Everyone else will be parked southbound on State Hwy 5 with a city/state supplied lane drop.
Info for the out-of-towners: Hwy 5 at the funeral home, is 4-lane, with a turn lane, no shoulder hwy.

I was doing this last year... Got to watch a new rollback being built for us. If the price of 'admission' wasn't so bad, I'd do it again next year. Lol. Seriously the truck was more than fairly priced compared to about everyone out there...
