  2. Tow Truck Drivers to Lead Funeral Procession for Slain Driver The funeral procession for a tow truck driver killed when a driver drove off the road and struck him will be lead by his colleagues. Timothy Williams, 55, was killed on February 7, 2020 while attempting to load a vehicle onto his tow truck. Christopher Rice was driving a vehicle that left the roadway and struck Williams while he was next to the truck, killing him. A driver with Affordable Towing, Williams was beloved among his co-workers both with Affordable Towing and other companies. Several of those drivers will be leading the processional for Williams after a Saturday memorial. The memorial will take place at noon at Freedom City Church, located at the corner North Broadway and West Division. The procession will then take place from the church to Williams’ final resting place at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. According to organizers of the procession, light and medium service trucks should stage at the Cox North Hospital parking lot. Heavy trucks and rotators are to park in legal parking areas along North Booneville south of Division. Drivers who wish to honor Williams by participating in the procession can contact Mike Phillips at Affordable Towing at 417-848-9764 or Ruben James Carver at 417-599-6731. https://ozarksindependent.com/2020/02/14/tow-truck-drivers-to-lead-funeral-procession-for-slain-driver/?fbclid=IwAR1m8iBkiMifoZMSVlYirvoHjXss-8fLX3gHIHpkT_gDfMYhSJUOUlmva4I

Toys and bikes are unloaded for underprivileged children in conjunction with the Compassion Network of the Tri-Cities area. Raffle prizes, silent auction, music, pictures with Santa. FUN FOR ALL! We are also in desperate need of raffle donations this year. Should you feel led to help us with this, it would be greatly appreciated. 11. SilhoLight™ On Sale This Month! There are more deaths in the tow truck industry than in Caltrans, California Highway Patrol and LA Metro combined. Tow truck drivers are not being seen. Move Over Laws are not being followed. As a result, tow operators are being struck and killed at an alarming rate. Life-threatening injuries and even deaths occur every day in the transportation industry. What if you had to go into work every day with the risk of losing a body part or dying? These are not ideal conditions. And it doesn’t have to be this way. As June is #NationalSafetyMonth, we have dropped the price of our lifesaving safety vests to just $25! CHECK IT OUT NOW
  12. ALOHA! Next month, we hope you’ll join us at CTTA Headquarters for a delightful Membership Luau! On July 24th, come speak with the Board of Directors, enjoy BBQ, drinks, games, prizes and more: http://ctta.com/luau/
  13. Congratulations to Quinn Piening of Central Tow & Transport in Fremont. Quinn was just elected as the new President of the California Tow Truck Association! View the full Board here: http://ctta.com/bod/
  14. So sorry to hear this... Sending our thoughts and condolences from CA...
