EdsTowing
Not trying to cry but we have been busy and this work beats me up anymore... Here are a few jobs from recent... TT that pulled too far up while trying to turn around in a stone lot & sunk... Dump Truck lost its brakes on a job site... Tractor for a 50 mile tow to a dealer... I had to hook to the front since it was pinned to a loaded trailer so I figured I would just pull the shaft and roll. Had a stripped bolt that I couldn't get out so after disconnecting, I pulled it ahead and dropped it to re-hook from the rear. Then I realized the POS had a messed up air shield already so I was messing with that so I didn't loose it on the way. Slipped off of the improper deck plate trying to secure it and caught myself falling backwards off the from....I wanted to kill something after that.... Another tractor tow to a repair shop for a engine mechanical problem... Another TT broken down on a ramp between interstates with very little room to work. Company supposed to be there to get the trailer but didn't show. So I can't leave it on the side of the highway...go down to pull the shaft and find this again... TWO previously stripped bolts. I got one out but the other was screwed. Fortunately it had a 10 spd in it so I just drug it a mile to a nearby crossover that had a large area to drop the trailer. Spun it around and towed to a Volvo dealer... On the way home I get caught up in a Tornado that peppered the hell out of my truck with sideways rain, hail & wind... No damage... Last night had a transit bus broken down in the road... No room to work when I started but got it hooked & backed off the shoulder to pull the axles & finish the hook up. 1st one with the natural gas set up I had to tow. They are quite a bit heavier then their older Gillig's. Any responsible, mechanically advanced Heavy Duty operators out there looking to get in a nice ride? LoL

Stubborn66
Fortunately, we have been busy too, and thankful for the work. With that, we have run into some pretty interesting caricatures this week. Had one insurance customer let me load the car after they said they could pay a copay. Then half way home they tell me that cannot pay. I pulled over on the interstate, called their insurance company, informed them of what was going on, and advised the insurance company that I was going to take the customer to the next exit and drop them off at a hotel for safety then I was going to impound the car. The customer hearing all of this. All of the sudden the fingers pounding the hell out of the cell phone and what do you know, they found the money. Imagine that! Long quiet ride the rest of the way home and the money waiting their when we got there.
