There are not as many street festivals as there once was and yes America does Celebrate far more than Mexico.

 

It's a marketing opportunity for businesses, primarily restaurants. Can not recall the number of DUI's being higher though and it's more like St. Patty's Day. Instead of Green Beer, it's Margaretta's. Now, I think there's a car cruise tonight. I have to go look for it. Happy Cinco De Mayo
