NEWS: HAAS Alert announced today that Safety Cloud®, the most comprehensive and trusted digital alerting platform for roadway safety, is now incorporated into real-time roadway hazard information in Apple Maps, one of the most widely used mapping, navigation, and traffic solutions in the world. Drivers approaching emergency vehicles, incident responders, work zones, and other hazards on the road sourced by Safety Cloud will receive an alert in Apple Maps, giving them advance warning of a potential safety issue ahead.

The Emergency Road Service Coalition of America (ERSCA) and HAAS Alert are teaming up to train tow operators on digital alerting for roadside protection. ERSCA offers some of the leading training and advocacy services in the towing industry and will integrate information on how digital alerting helps towers by reducing the risk of struck-by injuries by notifying approaching drivers to slow down and move over.

Safety Cloud by HAAS Alert adds a critical layer of safety by digitally alerting drivers inside their vehicles up to 30 seconds in advance. These alerts get the attention of motorists and have been shown to lower the risk of a collision by up to 90%, and reduce speeds 25% within the first second of being received.

Safety Cloud digital alerts are delivered to tens of millions of drivers nationwide through popular navigation app Waze and select Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Chrysler and Alfa Romeo vehicles. With digital alerting coming to even more vehicles and platforms in the months ahead, ERSCA is committed to ensuring that every tow operator it trains is educated on how this critical tool can keep them safe on the road.

I see some saying this is another distraction. I disagree because WAZE already did alerts for police. They may be running radar or working an accident. Including Tow Trucks in that Automatically along with other emergency vehicles gives our industry an advantage. We're going to be getting onboard here shortly. Until then I want to hear what others have to say.

HAAS Alert was already alerting tens of millions of people and processing TENS of millions of alerts through Waze every MONTH.  (over 1 Billion processed since 2017). Which also shows up on 511, and many news stations' traffic maps.

The addition of Chrysler, Fiat means millions more motorists will be able to get the alert (as a standard safety feature for them).

The HAAS Alert 'Slow Down and Move Over" alert reduces the risk of collision and struck-by incident by as much s 90%, when traffic is queuing it reduces hard braking and secondary crashed by at least 80%, it the standard in advanced warning, included in the transportation bill that was signed into law last year, come standard on 95% of the Fire Apparatus manufactured today, Frazer ambulances, McNelius garbage trucks, and much, much more.

It's more of a distraction to read a speed limit sign than it is to get our Slow Down Move Over alerts.

It helps save lives ad gets our roadway responders home safer to their families!

    I hope that helps :)
