It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of a life-long towing and recovery operator and business owner. Ronnie Barrickman passed away on August 23, 2021. Ronnie was a fixture of the Oldham and surrounding Kentucky counties communities and a well-known and talented towing operator. He served countless motorists and first responders with his knowledge, skills and abilities. Barrickman's Towing and Recovery was a longstanding member of TRAK.
A procession of towing and recovery vehicles along with partners from other first responder agencies will participate in Ronnie’s last run Saturday, August 28, 2021. Mr. Barrickman’s rollback will serve as a hearse, carrying his casket from the funeral home in LaGrange, KY to the Bedford cemetery. Ronald "Ronnie" Keith Barrickman, 61, of Pendleton, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 23, 2021.
He was born to Tripp and Evelyn Barrickman in LaGrange, Kentucky on August 9, 1960.
Ronnie owned and operated Barrickman Towing and Recovery and was a commissioner for Henry County Water District. He has a passion for old cars and drag racing; taking his 68 Camaro on road trips.
He is preceded in death by his father; Tripp Barrickman and sister; Pam Barrickman Tilley.
Left to cherish the memory of Ronnie are his wife of 13 years; Tonya Brewer, mother; Evelyn Barrickman, children; Michael Edens (Kennedy), Autumn Edens and Hailey Edens, grandchildren; Braden Hunt, Myles Edens, Naomi Edens, Jack Newby and Bennie Jean Edens, nieces; Taylor and Emma Barrickman and many, many life-long friends.
A celebration of life for Ronnie will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11am at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home in LaGrange, KY with burial to follow at Bedford Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 2-8pm.
