Platinum Sponsor BigWheelArchives Posted February 2, 2018 Platinum Sponsor Share Posted February 2, 2018 4-14-03 Received a call from New Bedford Police @ 11:55 am to respond to Acushnet Ave and Washburn Street beside Rte. 18 for a TT unit that got jammed under the low railroad trussel bridge. The truck was leaning to the left side with the wheels on the tractor and trailer wheels about 2 feet off the ground. The beam on the bridge hit the top of the refer unit and continued through the front wall with the wall popping back up onto the other side of the beam. We brought in our heavy duty wrecker to pull the unit back and our 60 ton rotator to hold the truck and trailer up as we pulled the unit back. We had to hold the unit up so the beam on the bridge would not catch the front wall panel with the refer unit on it and rip the entire wall out destroying the trailer and damaging the truck. After the truck and trailer were removed without any further damage, we used our ramp truck body to raise our workers into the trailer roof to do the necessary repairs and strap the damaged roof down.
