TowForce
By Brenda Erdahl A lot of heroes step forward when tragedy like a car accident strikes. Firemen, law enforcement and EMTs have the key roles when things go wrong on the road. Not a lot of thought is paid to the person who drives the tow truck even though they play a major part in keeping the highways open after a traffic accident. Adam Weis of Junction Towing in Buffalo can remember one time when he had to use his equipment to lift a vehicle off a person trapped underneath. He’s pulled his share of vehicles out of frozen lakes and ponds and helps the local fire fighters stay sharp by donating used cars for them to practice using their equipment on. It’s for that reason and more, Buffalo Fire Chief John Harnoise nominated Weis for the prestigious Order of Towman Award. As a result, Weis was inducted into the Order of Towman by American Towman Magazine and honored during the 32nd Annual American Towman Exposition in Baltimore, Maryland last fall. He was given the Cross of the Order, a Maltese Cross with a unique towing icon sculpted inside for his dedication to the towing trade and for serving the community. By receiving the Cross of the Order, Weis entered an elite organization of towing professionals nationwide. During the ceremony, Weis took an oath to continue that dedication and support for the town. “It is definitely an honor,” Weis said of the award. https://maplelakemessenger.com/2022/08/junction-towing-honored-with-the-american-towman-award/
