TowForce Posted June 5, 2022 Share Posted June 5, 2022 DRIVER ARRESTED FOR DUI AND LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING A ROAD RANGER TRUCK A man was arrested Sunday after Florida Highway Patrol troopers say he crashed into the back of a Road Ranger Service Patrol truck before leaving the scene. After the collision, the SUV reportedly drove away with a FHP Trooper following behind. Within two minutes the trooper was able to find the car and arrest 36-year-old Antonio Lopez in front of a Wawa gas station. Lopez told FHP Troopers he didn't have any license or identification. The driver also showed signs of impairment including bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech and unsteady balance. After failing to perform Field Sobriety Exercises, Lopez was arrested and is facing the following charges: One count of driving under the influence. Two counts of driving under the influence with property damage or personal injury. One count of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. One count of no valid driver's license.
