I damaged a round sling on the first rim I looped through. Ever seen then I have place a rag or even a wear pad when possible between the round sling and the rim edges. The rag works well, anyone got any other suggestions.

 

Oh, and just remember not all recoveries go text book prefect. This is how most tend to continue down the ditch line till you get an angle. Would it have helped if the vehicle had been steered to the left earlier. Possibly, however the angle is key and when working in weather conditions there are more variables.
