TowBot Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 The following is from the TIM Network, which is comprised of individuals representing various TIM disciplines with the goal of facilitating practical and results-oriented communication. “Slow down. Move over. Be safe. Six words that remind all that the lives of motorists and responders depend on effective actions by drivers and the highway heroes who respond to save the lives of complete strangers. “This November, the Federal Highway Administration’s Traffic Incident Management (TIM) program is joined by a variety of partners representing every type of response discipline to call special attention to public safety. “Effective TIM practices, and a vigilant public that slows down and moves over to let them work and keep passengers safe, reduce needless secondary crashes, and save lives. “Every minute of every day emergency responders across the country work to help save lives at the scene of traffic incidents. Too many are struck on scene. Too many die. The goal of National Traffic Incident Response Awareness Week is, for the fourth year, to reach out to every responder, and to every driver, and to every passenger, to make it more clear that every person has a role to play. Stay tuned here for resources to help you reach out to your communities, to your organizations, and to your hero responders.” For more information visit timnetwork.org.
