We are kind of new to them but I know for the last 2 weeks they have swamped us on calls,,,,very good to deal with and good pay.

Ed, We just did our first call with them Friday, and they asked if we'd like to start towing for them and faxed over the contract. We're still looking at it. Some of the rates look like what we'd expect, but some of the service call rates look pretty low. What do you think of the "standard rates" they give? Pretty in-line with the other clubs or low by comparison? (Since we just do heavy we have a hard time comparing rates for the motor home only stuff)
Have fun! Tina

I don't take P.O's from anyone so all of ours is done on credit cards,,,the rates I charge are my full rate,,,I am dependable, professional, and I have any equipment they need to help their customer,,,so I do charge my full rate on all motor clubs,,,as far as pricing motor homes compared to heavy towing rates it to me is always worth the same or more,,,they are harder and more delicate to tow not to mention what their value is,,,,,,I don't let any of the motorclubs dictate my rates,,you will find that if you give good service and are professional they will pay what you request if you "STAND FIRM!",,,just be honest and up front with them by telling them we looked over your rates and we can not deliver a truly professional service for those kind of prices "BUT!!!" we can give you our honest and up front pricing that will deliver your customer the best service money can buy,,,,this has always worked for me with any motor clubs we service,,if they won't go for it then their just not worth doing work for,,,,I hope it stays well because they seem to be a very professional motor club to deal with,it is unusual to find such a straight shooting motor club,,,,,Take care,Ed

They approached me about being a contractor for them. I spoke with their rep, he stated most of their calls would have a 50.00 dollar limit. I told him that in a rural area a 50.00 towing limit was peanuts. Sounded too much like the assurion scheme to me. I told him if they needed my services we would be happy to provide as they paid with a credit card. I contracted with assurion for several years, the 50.00 limit is a joke. Most of the time it doesn't even cover getting the truck to the member. Then when you bill the overage to member they complain and sometimes don't even have enough to pay the overage. I quit assurion 3 years ago and they still call. My opinion is, any motor club that peddles a 50.00 limit doesn't have much potential to be a viable revenue generating resource for my business.

Yes most have a $50. limit but they have no problem with your charging the insured the additional amount up to your normal rate, just let the dispatcher know the difference which they will relay to the insured to see if they want to pay that difference before you go out, it's really a simple procedure.

Did my first quest Last Sunday night ( Sept 2)... went well... other than the fact they left the guy stranded for 5 hours.... they called 10 different companies and they all said they couldn't do it because of the fireworks display at 9 PM... this all started at 4 for the man... I got the call at 7:45 and was back in my city by 9:20... was a 30 mile tow on a 1996 Ford escort... Paid by CC and all was well... Paid normal rates...Guess it is time to up them if I am the only CO that can tow 30 miles LOL.

We do no PO's with Motor clubs... got tired of taking months to get our money. ALL are CC or no go.

We don't get much call volumne from them but they are quick payers and great to work with. When you call you actually get to talk to your rep or if you have to leave a message they call back within a couple of hours.

Why drop them? If they are not calling, it will make no difference. If they do call, you have a job that you might not have gotten otherwise.

Every call I have done for Quest has been a Pemco insured. Pemco is pretty popular in my area and maybe thats why some area's do better than others.
