CHP car, tow truck hit on 15 Freeway shoulder in Ontario (CA)

A California Highway Patrol car and a tow truck were struck by another vehicle along the 15 Freeway in Ontario on Tuesday night, Jan. 15, the CHP log said.

 

The initial report was that there were at worst minor injuries.

 

The crash was reported about 8:40 p.m. on the southbound side north of Jurupa Avenue. Ontario firefighters witnessed the crash on the right shoulder, the log said.

 

The incident prompted the closure of the right three lanes about 9 p.m. The lanes  reopened by 9:45 p.m.
