Maryland state trooper, tow truck driver injured in I-70 crash

Recommended Posts

A Maryland state trooper and a tow truck driver were injured Saturday in a crash on Interstate 70.

Maryland State Police said troopers were called around noon to reports of a crash involving a trooper in the area of eastbound I-70 prior to the Patapsco River Bridge. State police say the injured trooper was taken to Shock Trauma. There was no further information on the trooper’s condition.

Officials say there was also a tow truck driver who was taken to Shock Trauma.

Maryland State Police say that the preliminary investigation indicated the trooper was at the scene of a prior single-vehicle crash when they were struck by another vehicle.
