TowForce Posted February 14 Share Posted February 14 Pedestrian Killed In East Farmingdale Crash The man was crossing a road when he was fatally struck by a tow truck, police say EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a tow truck while crossing a road in East Farmingdale early Tuesday, Suffolk police said. A pedestrian was crossing Route 109 at Route 110 when he was struck by a 2022 Ram tow truck traveling westbound on Route 109 at 2:30 a.m., police said. The pedestrian, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the tow truck, a 55-year-old East Elmhurst man, was not injured, police said. The truck was impounded for a safety check.
