TowForce Posted February 10 Share Posted February 10 Tow truck driver arrested for violating Spartanburg Co. towing ordinance: deputies SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate tow truck driver has been arrested on charges he violated Spartanburg County’s towing ordinance. According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Christopher Michael Cole was arrested on two counts of violation of county ordinance. Deputies said Cole towed 11 trucks and trailers from a Spinx gas station on Highway 14 near Greer. Investigators said Cole used the names of two different towing companies, Southern Pride Towing and Affiliation Towing, and storage lots in Wellford and Duncan. The sheriff’s office said, after consulting the the county attorney’s office, their investigator obtained the two warrants for Cole. The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have been a recent victim of improper towing by Cole to file a report with them.
