TowForce
COOS BAY, Ore. — Just after 2 p.m. Friday, North Coos 911 dispatch received multiple reports of heavy smoke coming from an apartment complex in the 400 Block of Hall Avenue. "Within two minutes, Coos Bay Fire Department was dispatched and arrived on scene," the Fire Department said. The first arriving fire company found heavy fire involvement coming from one of the first-floor apartments. "Firefighters began pulling fire hoses and spraying water to two different sides to contain the fire to the apartment where the fire started," CBFD said. "Once the fire was knocked down a bit, firefighters were able to enter inside the apartment to continue putting the fire out." Crews contained the fire to the single apartment, but all the apartment units had a lot of smoke damage, the department stated. "The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious," CBFD said. Employees from Mast Bros. Towing helped the occupant get out before the entire apartment became involved in flames, the report said. https://kval.com/news/local/tow-truck-employees-help-coos-bay-resident-exit-burning-apartment
