Peel police warn that everyone (including tow truck drivers) must follow the speed limit

 

'Speeding is unacceptable, even if you are driving a tow truck and making your way to a collision scene'

Tow trucks must adhere to speed limits, even when rushing to an accident scene, say Peel Regional Police.

 

“Tow truck towed,” said police in an early morning post on X, formerly Twitter, on Dec. 13. “Speeding is unacceptable, even if you are driving a tow truck and making your way to a collision scene.”

 

In that post, Peel police claimed the driver of a tow truck was observed travelling 112 km/h in a 70 km/h zone in Brampton, resulting in stunt driving charges and a vehicle impoundment.
