INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5/29/23 5:15 a.m.

LOCATION: SB 73 Toll Rd at Crown Valley Pkwy Bridge CITY: Laguna Niguel

 

DETAILS: A tow truck driver is lucky to be alive after crashing his tow truck on the 73 toll road.  The crash occurred on the southbound 73 toll road, near Crown Valley Parkway when the driver veered off the road sending his large vehicle crashing into a bridge crossing before plummeting down off the freeway about 75 feet. 

 

The driver reportedly got out of the vehicle un-injured and was taken back to the tow company's office.  No other injuries or vehicles were reportedly involved and the CHP is working on clearing the tow truck from the area and will have the NB 73 transition road down to one lane while a heavy-duty truck removes the mangled wreckage.
